Newfren brake shoes prorace model with racing compound for Piaggio : - Rear only for Sprint GL GT GTR RALLY TS - Vespa PX - Vespa PK (except PK S 1st series without indicators) BRAKESHOES PRORACE NEWFREN: The new line of brake shoes called PRORACE was designed to add performance and exclusivity to a more than proven product. The shoe cover is made of die-cast aluminium alloy in compliance with EN 1676:2010 standards. The braking friction material, on the other hand, has a new compound with exceptional characteristics. It offers considerable advantages in terms of braking and improves safety in city traffic thanks to its properties of high resistance to fatigue and stress due to continuous braking and restarting during use. Particularly suitable for racing use in scooter competitions, it shortens braking distances and withstands heavy stress even under conditions of repeated high-speed braking. This new compound provides 30% more friction coefficient and 25% shorter braking distance. CHARACTERISTICS Type Drum brake Position in vehicle Front/Rear Special feature Racing compound The shoes consist of crescent-shaped metal elements, on the surface of which are the pads. In the drum brake mechanism with two control cylinders, the useful working action is increased by the rotation of the drum itself during the movement of the vehicle, which tends to squeeze tighter to it when braking.
