Malossi HTQ gears for Vespa PX take up the legacy of the first gear design produced by Malossi in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Completely redesigned, this pair of primary gears uses a straight-tooth configuration instead of the standard helical ones. Malossi has worked hard to ensure the exceptional quietness of the gears, achieved by special machining of the teeth and their contact surfaces, finished with obsessive care and verified on the evolution meter. Malossi HTQ gears are manufactured using only materials that exceed the extremely strict standards imposed by our technicians through rigorous testing and trials. Final machining is carried out using numerically controlled machines, after which the Malossi HTQ gears undergo a complete thermo-chemical carburizing treatment at 900°C that gives them the required hardness and strength. The size and quality of the finished gears is finally verified on Zeiss 3D inspection machines. Paired two by two to respect the correct operating clearance, Malossi HTQ gears are the most precious gift a true romantic enthusiast can give to his Vespa.
